How it works

1️⃣ Lottery balls
The 6 teams that missed the playoffs get lottery balls. The worse your record, the more balls you get.

2️⃣ A number nobody controls
A special random number from the U.S. government picks the winners. Not even the commissioner can change it.

3️⃣ The big reveal
The commissioner presses the button and we reveal the picks, one at a time: 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, then 1!

Each team's chances of winning the #1 pick, out of 100 balls.
